After walking the streets of downtown San Diego on a weekly basis for 3 1/2 years, with the only intention of serving the homeless population. I had no idea the wealth of knowledge this experience was going to provide to my life as a work related Trauma interventionist, Family Therapist, and Certified Employe Assistance Professional.

Some of the areas I have discovered is that; in many cases with appropriate early treatment plan, when loss of any kind strikes the individual, ( loss of a job, reduce of work hours, loss of a spouse, chronic illness, mortgage interest increase, Etc,) homelessness can be prevented and reintegration can happen.
